“Our mission is to help people improve and maintain their mental health through research-supported methods of psychological assessment and treatment.”
Assessment is the first stage in the change process as it allows us to clarify the nature and severity of your child’s presenting concerns and determine the most effective therapeutic strategies to address those issues.
This involves a clinical interview and may also include psychological testing. The assessment enables us to clarify any diagnoses, prepare a case formulation, and determine if Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the right choice for your child.
We also provide comprehensive Psycho-Educational Assessments to help identify the presence of learning disabilities and other issues or disorders that may adversely impact academic performance (such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). These assessments can produce recommendations for your child’s school for academic accommodations or preparation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), if necessary.
Our team of psychologists also have extensive training in conducting comprehensive assessments to identify Autism Spectrum Disorder using up-to-date assessment methods.
