Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

“Our mission is to help people improve and maintain their mental health through research-supported methods of psychological assessment and treatment. We value inclusivity and respect the unique and diverse nature of individuals.”

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that has a wide range of severity and impairments.

Possible signs of ASD include lack of speech or significantly impaired or delayed speech, restricted interests, repetitive behaviours, appearing uninterested in other people, and being highly distressed in response to change.

ASD assessments involve an intake interview with the parents of the child, as well as standardized psychological testing measures. A detailed report is prepared which includes diagnostic information (if applicable) and outlines strategies to help support the child inside and outside of school. Our team of psychologists have extensive experience in completing ASD assessments.
