We do not require a referral from your doctor. However, some extended health carriers do require a physician’s referral before providing reimbursement of fees.
Following a brief telephone intake, you will be assigned to one of the Centre’s psychologists for assessment and treatment. Assignments are typically based on therapist availability and client characteristics (e.g., age, presenting problems, etc.). Every effort is made to ensure the best possible psychologist-client match.

Some patients experience substantial gains very rapidly (e.g., 4-6 sessions), while others require significantly longer (20 or more sessions) to achieve their treatment goals. Certainly many of our patients require a moderate amount of treatment sessions (e.g., 12-15 sessions). The number of sessions required for optimal treatment will vary depending on the nature, severity and complexity of presenting symptoms.
